Great historic building. Nicely preserved and a lot to learn inside. They lady who works there was very nice and informative. Walk around the grounds and up the block, there are other historical markers.
Driving from Dallas Tx to Ft Wayne Ind, Not ever wanting to pass up historical area. Found this adventure, one of my top stops. Just amagin walking the distance or riding horse back, what ever means of transportation to represent and better their state and our country. Way to go Lincoln, you definitely earned your 4$ a day!
The second Illinois State Capitol. Very well kept and lots of historical insight. So relaxing to set on the grounds and try to take in so much history. Clean, informative and tour guides were really nice. Worth putting on your places to visit.
